Collserola, the home mountain

The Collserola range is the huge lung glued to the city: eight thousand hectares of woods with the Carretera de les Aigües as walkway and Tibidabo crowning it. The excursion that needs no suitcase.

The Carretera de les Aigües

The flat nine-kilometer path with all of Barcelona on your left is reached by funicular from Peu del Funicular: it's the locals' walk, run and sunrise. By bike, on foot or jogging.

Tibidabo and its park

The century-old amusement park and the Sacred Heart temple close the mountain with the city's best views. Go up on the historic blue tram plus funicular, a combination that is itself an attraction.

Real trails

Collserola's ridges hold genuine half-mountain routes with hidden valleys and springs: Sant Medí and the Les Planes paths are the locals' Sunday classics.
